The Place
Playa del Cura is located in the South West of Gran Canaria, enjoying the best weather the island has to offer year round. It is a delightful, picturesque, beachfront town, ideally situated just a short drive from the pretty harbour village of Puerto de Mogán and the bustling, exciting town of Puerto Rico.
On your doorstep is Playa del Cura´s quaint sandy beach, offering peace of mind to those with young children with its safe, gentle waters. A small commercial centre offers easy access for those little necessities with its mini-market and a simple variety of restaurants and bars means you´re never too far away from a well cooked meal and jug of sangria.
For those who fancy something a little more energetic, then the spectacular resort of Anfi Tauro is just a stones throw from your holiday accommodation. Boasting an 18 hole, par 72, championship course as well as a 9 hole, par 3 course and driving range, this really is a golfers paradise.
The Accommodation
Cura Marina is a well kept, peaceful complex, set in a U shape surrounded by luschious gardens and offering a large communal swimming pool and children´s area. Unfortunately, there are no sea views to be had from this complex, but importantly, this does mean the urbanisation is on flat land and therefore you will not have to contend with any steep slopes!!
The accommodation itself is as cosy as it is pretty. A real "home from home", this house has been furnished with your comfort in mind and includes a comfortable settee with cushions galore, flat screen TV, plenty of patio furniture and beds furnished with duvets and real feather pillows. From it´s south facing garden and upstairs balcony, you can take in your surroundings and enjoy the sunshine all day long.
The Attractions
There is a wonderful array of activities on offer for everyone in Gran Canaria. Spend a leisurely day on one of the many beaches the island has to offer, where you can indulge in a variety of watersports. Take a trip to one of the many local markets and try out your bartering skills or hire a car for the day and venture off into the mountains where you can BBQ, fish and swim in the mountain lakes.
A forty five minute bus journey will see you in the islands capital, Las Palmas. Here, you can simply spend the day shopping or taking in the many historic sights that are on offer. For those with children to entertain, the sky is the limit. Spend a fun packed day at Holiday World trying out the rides or treat them to a day out at Sioux City. The nightlife of Puerto Rico and Playa del Inglés will surely entertain those night owls amongst you!!
